What happen to Ipad compatability?

I was running tunepal on my iiphone and pad and found it to be a good app. Implemented on an ipad, Its particularly good for finding tunes and displaying them quickly. The app works reasonably well on the iphone at sessions - particularly for tunes where a flute or whistle is dominant.
I recently had to restore my ipad and was surprised to see a message that said that tunepal is no longer an ipad app. There is no way to load it on the ipad. What happened? This is a useful app but Im confused about why it suddenly became an iphone only app.
